Alasdair Scobbie, Managing Director

Following an initial career in sports retailing, Alasdair ran Alpine skiing for the national governing body before jointly setting up an agency to specialise in the strategic management of sports sponsorship activities.

Since joining MCS in 1991 Alasdair has been involved in developing many brand building campaigns for a variety of leading brands in the sports and outdoor leisure market as well as establishing MCS as the premier agency in its field.

Marta Williams, Director

A Public Relations graduate from the University of Barcelona and the Queen’s University of Belfast and a Masters Degree in Public Relations from the Manchester Metropolitan University.

Marta has over 10 years experience in Public Relations in a wide variety of markets including retail, food, clothing, sport and fashion.

Debbie Carter, Account Manager

After a degree in European Business Studies that included a period studying in France, Debbie joined London based broadcast PR specialist Bulletin International, working on accounts such as BMW, British Tourist Authority and Granada during its takeover of Forte. Returning to her northern roots, she joined the marketing department at New Balance before moving to MCS in 1998. Debbie’s current client responsibilities include BASI, Oase Outdoors, Tog 24 and Snugpak and during her spare time she enjoys Pilates, skiing and walking with her family.

Jo Overton, Account Manager

After graduating with a degree in PR and Marketing from the University of Central Lancashire in 2004, Jo gained valuable experience with an in-house role within the Doncaster Rovers F.C press office before joining a Leeds based agency working on accounts such as Specsavers, Marks & Spencer and Lambert Smith Hampton.

Jo joined MCS in 2005 and has client responsibilities including; TEKO, GoLite, Superfeet, Life is good and Crocs as well as acting as the Press Officer for the OTS exhibition.

Gillie Turner, Financial Controller

An integral part of MCS, Gillie acts as Financial Controller and provides admin support, working with all account handlers and clients. With many years experience within the financial sector Gillie brings a wealth of knowledge to the role and ensures the smooth running of the MCS office.

Victoria Stapleton - Account Executive

Victoria started her PR career in 2004 after working with an established Manchester based agency on a large scale branded event for Hasbro.

Throughout her career, Victoria has worked for numerous household names including Slazenger, Galaxy, ASDA, Whitbread, Brewers Fayre, Weight Watchers, SurgiCare, Pets at Home and No Fear.

Victoria joined MCS in March 2009 and is currently working with clients including Meindl, Source Hydration, Result, Crocs and Gregory in a trade and consumer capacity.
